Ultrium Tape driver 230 and 215
Anyone knows if I can attach a standalone 230 or 125 Ultrium tape drive to a K4XX or K5XX unix server? The server is running HP-UX 10.20 and 11.0. Please provide part number for the tape unit and cables required.
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

Re: Ultrium Tape driver 230 and 215
Hello,
Unfortunately this cannot be done. All external and internal Ultrium drives are LVD Wide SCSI-2. Your K's HBA on the Core IO is HVD.
There are HVD Ultrium drives connecting to the autoloader 1/9 and tape libraries, but to my knowledge, no standalone Ultrium drives are HVD.
HTH,
Vince
