Unable to Pull Cartridge - StorageWorks MSL 4048

[CTPRB]

More and more frequently, our tape library fails to pull a tape out of a magazine slot. It has happened to different slots, magazines, and tapes. A reboot of the library clears it up. This unit is 6 or 7 years old.

Any suggestions for resolving this? Usual culprits?

Hi,

There can be many issues related to hardware or software. My recomendation would be to check the firmware version first and upgrade it if its below 8.x version.
