Re: Upgrade Firmware Ultrium 460

Have you stopped all backup applications and/or services that could be accessing the drives before running LTT?

Is this a standalone drive, or a library?

If it's in a library, is it connected through a SAN, or direct attach SCSI?

If all other programs accessing the drive were stopped, could you grab the EventLog.ltt file from the logs sub-directory under the LTT install directory, and email it to ltt_team@hp.com? They can take a look to see what might be causing the problem.

Thanks Jose. Please send the EventLog.ltt file to the ltt_team@hp.com email box, and I'll have the LTT team look into this.

Re: Upgrade Firmware Ultrium 460

Jose,
Thanks for sending in the event log. The eventlog is full of the "Device is busy and unable to respond" errors. I have not seen that particular issue before.

What application or utility are you using for backups?

What OS version are you on?

Can you run Support Tools Manager and collect the logtool logs for the drive?
