Upgrade Tape Drive ML350G4?
We have an ML350 G4 server with a DLT8000 tape drive. We have outgrown the capacity of the DLt drive and I'm thinking of replacing the DLT drive with a HP StorageWorks DAT 160 SCSI Internal Tape Drive with a SCSI-3 Ultra 160 LVD interface.
The ML350 has 2, HP 64-Bit/133MHz PCI-X 2CH Ultra320 HBA controllers. Will the 160GB DAT drive work with these controllers?
Thanks for any help.

Re: Upgrade Tape Drive ML350G4?
Hi Siringo,
Yes the 160GB DAT drive would work with the HP 64-Bit/133MHz PCI-X 2CH Ultra320 HBA controllers.
Please refer to the Below Link :
http://www.hp.com/products1/storage/compatibility/tapebackup/ISS/Detail/16-0039-0109.html
Compatible Controllers & HBA's
412911-B21 : HP SC11Xe PCIe Ultra320 SCSI HBA (Internal/External)
439946-001 SC11Xe Host Bus Adapter (HBA)
403051-001 : U320 SCSI Host Bus Adapter (HBA) - 64-bit, 133MHz, single channel (Option 374654-B21)
