Urgent! MSL6000 password?

Hi, is there anybody knows the default password/username to log onto its web management? Is there a way I can reset it?

There are 2 levels for login:

Web/User Level 1 password = 1
Web/User Level 2 password = 2

Hello,

Try the following,

To change Level 1 password, on the OCP go to:

Menu>Edit Options>Network>Web level 1 and FTP login

And this to change Level 2 password:

Menu>Edit Options>Network>Web level 2 Login

From the OCP, there is a "Factory password", what the default value of that?

This is a HP only password.

But you can use the MSLUtil tool via the serial connection:

Thanks Torsten. I think those 3 passwords (usr1, usr2 and service) were not enabled in the past and I enabled them by mistake. I would really like to disable them again. Possible?

All are enabled by default, for defaults see above ...

If you cannot remember them, use mslutil as suggested.

I have got all three passwords right. Thank you. However, I do believe I did NOT have to put in password on the OCP when I did some basic regular operations like "move media" etc. But I need to put in password now in order to do it. Not sure how to disable them. I have had this library in place for a long time and this password thing just came up days ago when I played with settings in order to get my HP SIM server monitor this library. HP SIM can see it now. I don't think the password thing is related to SIM settings though.

I think I got it now ...

If you go on the OCP to

menu->password

do you see the levels enabled or disabled?

Disable the level by entering a new password of 0000.
