Can someone pls explain this msg i am getting on our SSL1016.. is the tape the problem or the backup unit. I have had this error now on two different tapes both with about 300 hours of use. I ran HP and no one there had any answers... Thanks - SV

Hi Shane,

You can test your library with HP Library and Tape tools. Do you get any errors in the eventlog as well? Like scsiport errors?
Also make sure there is a scsi terminator present on the back of the library
