Warranty checker doesn't recognise serial no. of my LTO4 drive
Hi, I've been trying to check whether my LTO4 drive, (Storage Works Ultrium 1760) is stil under warranty, but when I use the online checker it asks for the product code, which I enter, and then says it doesn't match the serial number!
It's an internal half height SCSI drive and the product number on the sticker is 465791-001.
The serial number is HUExxxJxx, I've replaced the numbers in the serial number with X's.
Anyone know if there's another product code for that drive or whether I'm entering it in the wrong format.

Re: Warranty checker doesn't recognise serial no. of my LTO4 drive
465791-001 is the spare part#, there must be another product#, e.g. EH919A or something.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Warranty checker doesn't recognise serial no. of my LTO4 drive
Thanks but there isn't a number like that on the drive :o\
I've entered all of those into the warranty checker but it still they are not associated with the serial number provided.
Could it be that this is a replacement drive and if so would it still have a 3 year warranty like the original?
