Windows 2003 native backup fails with HP VS 80 DLT on DL380 cluster

Bought an HP DL380 Packaged Cluster/MSA500. Cluster installation using Windows 2003 went smooth. Problem is the backup with Windows 2003 native tool using HP Storageworks VS 80 DLT fails just before the backup finishes. the error message is " The device reported an error on request to write data to media. Error reported :Invalid command. There maybe a hardware/media proble. Pleasee check the SEL for relevant failures." Please help....
