Windows NT 4.0 + Backup II + Colorado t1000 = tape not listed

I'm trying to determine if the combination of Windows NT 4.0, Backup II, and a Colorado t1000 connected to the floppy drive controller should work. The tape drive is recognized by NT, and works in the NT backup program, but isn???t listed in available drives in the Backup II program. Is anyone familiar with this configuration?

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
