backup exec 8.5 - bad media ???

backup exec 8.5 - bad media ???

I just moved a DLT library from a Novell server to a new Windows NT server-- now every other tape in the library is showing as bad media. When I try to format a tape it will tell me that the drive needs to be cleaned before any other operation can continue?? has anyone ran into this before?

Hi
normally there is no problem, I don't the be version you are using, but try to visit
the web site support.veritas.com, I know there is a patch concerning problem with unknown media.I hope that will help you else let me know
