dat 24i problem with windows xp and xp backup

hi,
how can i use my dat24i with windows xp and xp backup?
xp backup don't offer me to backup my file on the tape drive(only on the "a" drive!)
or my tape drive work with the software "tapeware"!
somebody got a solution?
