Also, you could run Library and Tape Tools and perform a R/W test to see if it's not a driver issue, since with LTT you won't use drivers.
Use LTT and run a LTO assessment test, but before you do that, run a LTO Media assessment test on a known good media that you use, so you can make sure it's not media issue.
Would you get the same error when using different media?
You could run a connectivity test to see as well whether the cable and termination is working properly.

Thanks a lot for your help yes it was the bent pin in the cable and that has helped me solve the issue thanks again
