format cartridges DLT
We use cartridges of 40 GB non-compressed (80 GB compressed).
For a format of a cartridge we specify the medium size to 80000 MB.
When the cartridge is free we must reformat each time the cartridge to 80000 MB.
Where is the problem ?

Re: format cartridges DLT
Hi.
I think when you format the tape. The default size will be 40GB. You shouldn't change the default size.
Because when format, system only format the real size of the tape.
You can backup up to 80GB because when backup, system will compress the data.
So that try again.
