how to assign scsi id logically....

hello everyone..

how can i define one device to logically appear as another physical device by means of assinging two SCSI iD's for that device??

What OS & version are you talking about? That may determine if you can do it or not.

I know it is possible in VMS to do something like: DEFINE/SYSTEM DKA100 :== DKA200

This way if you refrence DKA100: the system knows that you are actually talking about DKA200.

I suspect that TRU64 will also allow you to do this.
