1)Install the library hardware and Command View TL
2)Loading the library hardware with up to 10 tape media cartridges
3)Configuring Interface Manager and Interface Controller(s), and configuring zoning on Fiber Channel switches
4)Configuring backup server host to recognize device
5)Conduct installation verification tests such as power-on self test (POSTs) for the product, normal product operation, and that current device software and firmware are loaded.

any body has any idea on any of the above stated modules, kindly get back.

I would check that the proper driver is installed in the HP-UX kernel, probably stape, but do check the install procedures.

After connecting and booting the HP-UX server, run ioscan -fnC tape

This will show you whether the device is properly claimed or not.
