hp superstore dat 40x6 (external) SCSI
I would update the firmware of this library. When I select the path of the frm file (dowloaded from hp website: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?)lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=19589&prodTypeId=12169&prodSeriesId=42856&swLang=8&taskId=135&swEnvOID=1005) on the "hp storage works and library tape tools" always I receive this message "no matching devices" in the "local firware files" of the hp storage works and library tape tools.
The firmware is correct.
Suggest?
Thank's
Mark

Re: hp superstore dat 40x6 (external) SCSI
- HP DAT 40x6 External Tape Autoloader
- HP StorageWorks DAT 40x6 Tape Autoloader Ext. US
- HP StorageWorks DAT 40x6 Tape Autoloader Int. US
I believe that firmare are the same for all, but I have chosen the first (HP DAT 40x6 External Tape Autoloader) the frm file are: LTT_HP_C5713A_H312.frm and LTT_HP_C5713A_H910.frm.
When I select this file on the the hp storage works and library tape tools always I receive this message "no matching devices"...
thank's

Re: hp superstore dat 40x6 (external) SCSI
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/information_storage/software/ltt/firmware/LTT_C5713A_H910.frm
Keep in mind all firmware for this is for the drive only.
AFAIR, numbering is a bit confusing,
H910 is from 1999
H312 is from 2004
What version is installed???
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: hp superstore dat 40x6 (external) SCSI
I think that this problem may be caused from bad connection on the scsi port? Is it possibile?
