Re: ioscan cannot see drives of the MSL6000 tape library

You are right.

Login to the MSL web interface to check if the library is alive and login to NSR to check if the library is connected to the SAN.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: ioscan cannot see drives of the MSL6000 tape library

the library is alive, because I can move tapes (media) into the drive, etc, but I found something: the fiber cable comming from the library to the switch, on that switch port, has no_light, so I moved that cable to the bottom switch, so now I can see two drives on ioscan, but there are still two drives that are No_HW

Re: ioscan cannot see drives of the MSL6000 tape library

I assume you have several NSRs, hence more cables.

Hope this helps!

Re: ioscan cannot see drives of the MSL6000 tape library

Did you try a power cycle of the library?

Hope this helps!

If you can see 2 drives now - how many drives are there? 2?

Hope this helps!

Re: ioscan cannot see drives of the MSL6000 tape library

If I assume you have 2 drives installed and now you can see 2 drives, it should be OK now, right?

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: ioscan cannot see drives of the MSL6000 tape library
