linux RH 7.3 problem with MDR & MSL
Hi,
We have MSL5000 SDLT library connected to MDR2402 via SCSI, and MDR connected to SAN using FC switch (topology SWF). All machines in SAN can use tapes on MSL, except Linux box. Linux box sees MDR as:
Host: scsi2 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00
Vendor: COMPAQ Model: SWMODULAR ROUTER Rev: 0313
Type: Unknown ANSI SCSI revision: 04
And is unable to see tapes and the changer. Fabric mapping seems to be OK, also all systems in the SAN are using the same WWWN<->LUN mapping as the linux box. We have solaris, hpux, even windows working fine. Maybe there is some trick to use MSL5000+MDR with linux ?
I will give the points even for ideas ... because I am out of them ...

Actually I'm using Emulex LP9000 FC HBA, but I will check drivers you've pointed to :). It may help. Thanks =)
