msl6030 Nonvol Trace Question

***** NON-VOLATILE ERROR LOG *****
0 Power-On Hours, Error: 100f, Task: ScsiTsk (00a01600)
...

***** NON-VOLATILE HISTORY LOG *****

We have about 100 of these Error 100f before the history log... should I be concerned?
Enjoy!

Re: msl6030 Nonvol Trace Question

Those are unterminted SCSI bus resets. If you have a controller card not connected to a host, it need to have a terminator (applies to master and slaves).

Re: msl6030 Nonvol Trace Question

Thank you David

OK... I will talk to the local SA and find out if he disconnected the library from the server at some point.

How do I flush this trace file so I can see if it happens again?
Enjoy!

Re: msl6030 Nonvol Trace Question

The errors are on the non-volatile log. I'm not aware of a way to clear them.

However, the errors have a power-on timestamp:

0 Power-On Hours, Error: 100f
----------------

I'll guess that the library was first turned on without being cabled to the host.

Also, this error (100f) will appear on the front panel, so you will know if you are still getting them.
