tar back on tape library
Hi
can anybody help regarding this issue i have attached a HP StorageWorks MSL8096 2 LTO-4 Ultrium 1840 Fibre Channel Tape Library to a server with suse 10 sp2 box.how can i take a tar backup from it.

Hi,
Better to use a backup software...
However you can try this...
1 Manualy put a tape in the drive from the front pannel of the Library.
2 now from the OS, mount the drive
3 Try to redirect the tar file....to the mount point.....

i try to mount da drive using dev/st0 but it says no media not found.i have already insert a tape also.how can i use the hp-ltt script?
