tz10 permission denied
hi all,
I am using 12/24 internal tz10 dat drive on AS400 server with tru64 4.0f OS. whenever we try to take some backup, the dat shows /dev/rmt0h:permissions denied error. I then use the cleaning dat (though the drive doesn't show any such indications) and the drive works fine. But again after certain uses the error starts reoccuring. I tried creating new device files but that did not help. Pls. suggest some soln.
Thanx in anticipation.

Re: tz10 permission denied
Hi,
Check whether by any chance the Tape is physically write protected or not.
Or try using the other tape.
