vmunix: SCSI: Read error
Hey everyone. While copying some files, we see the following errors:
Aug 28 02:18:30 hughp4 vmunix:
Aug 28 02:18:30 hughp4 vmunix: SCSI: Read error -- dev: b 31 0x093300,
errno: 126, resid: 1024,
Aug 28 02:18:30 hughp4 vmunix: blkno: 8, sectno: 16, offset: 8192,
bcount: 1024.
Aug 28 02:18:30 hughp4 vmunix: LVM: Performed a switch for Lun ID = 0
(pv = 0x000000004b790000), from raw device 0x1f093300 (with priority: 0,
and current flags: 0x40) to raw device 0x1f063300 (with priority: 1,
and current flags: 0x0).
Aug 28 02:18:30 hughp4 vmunix: LVM: VG 64 0x020000: PVLink 31 0x093300
Failed! The PV is still accessible.
Aug 28 02:19:35 hughp4 vmunix: LVM: Performed a switch for Lun ID = 0
(pv = 0x000000004b790000), from raw device 0x1f063300 (with priority: 1,
and current flags: 0x0) to raw device 0x1f093300 (with priority: 0, and
current flags: 0x80).
Aug 28 02:19:35 hughp4 vmunix: LVM: VG 64 0x020000: PVLink 31 0x093300
Recovered.
The job copies fairly large files to another filesystem. The filesystem is on a VA7400 in a Service Guard cluster. If I kiil the copy command, everything is fine. Any ideas?
thanks
Syl

Re: vmunix: SCSI: Read error
Cheryl,
That patch is loaded. We adjusted the pv timeout and that cleared it. Thanks
Syl
