write to ultrium tape uncompressed?

i have an hp-ux 11.0 system and i would like to create a device file to write to an ultrium 1 tape drive in uncompressed mode. i can find no documentation on this. any ideas?

To create a uncompressed file:
mksf -H -a -b U_18

thanks, i'm not sure how i missed that earlier posting. i've verified that "-b U_18" works correctly.
