Get an independent perspective on MWC with the TelecomTV Spotlight on 5G
I’m excited to share with you that HPE will be attending Mobile World Congress 2021 virtually. Whilst we’re not going to be able to meet for tapas in person, we do have a packed agenda for the week in partnership with TelecomTV.
From the 28th June to the 1st of July, TelcomTV’s Guy Daniels and Ray Le Maistre will be hosting a series of sessions covering the latest on 5G Core, RAN, Edge, and the Cloud with 40+ guests from across both vendors and CSPs. Each day, they’ll be kicking off with a Strategy Outlook session, followed by The Slice looking at the day’s news with a side of analysis and tapas, finishing off with The After Show Live Q&A over cocktails.
Tune in on Monday June 28th from 08:00 CEST for the first Strategy Outlook to hear from Richard Band (Head of Mobile Core and 5G at HPE). He will share how operators can introduce more innovation and agility into their networks with open, cloud native solutions built on an HPE/RedHat/Intel stack.
On Tuesday June 29th from 08:00 CEST, Geetha Ram (Global Head of Telco Solution Incubations at HPE), and Matt Conrod (Director of vRAN Business Development, Intel) will explore how the RAN will evolve over the next few years with standardization, and they will dig into how operators can leverage open platforms to consolidate functions and reduce costs.
In the After Show, our outgoing SVP and GM, Phil Mottram will look back at the news of the day. He will also take questions from the audience on his experiences in the communications industry, HPE’s strategy, and perhaps his thoughts on his new role running HPE’s enterprise networking business Aruba.
Wednesday June 30th brings us closer to the Edge, with Rolf Eberhardt (Head of Orchestration, CTG at HPE), joined by Verizon, Intel, Telenor, and Colt. They will help you to navigate how to extend your cloud to the edge, driving new B2B services revenue.
Our second live After Show discussion should be entertaining with Verizon, Telenor, Intel, Colt, and our own Domenico Convertino (VP Product Management, HPE).
On Thursday 1st July, we’ve got our head in the clouds with Aashish Mishra, (Head of Global Sales Strategy & Indirect at HPE). He will investigate the state of the 5G Telco Cloud along with Intel, Red Hat, Colt, and Google. They’ll discuss what decisions need to be taken right now by network operators.
But this event isn’t about us… the heroes of the show will, of course, be the operators. We expect the operators to provide their full unfiltered experiences of the current state of the telecommunications industry and their perspectives on the future. Check the full speaker roster here.
Register now to get involved and interact with the team through polls, questions, and pictures; or add it to your calendar via the link on Spotlight on 5G | TelecomTV.
