Futurecom 2014 #4: Ending. A new Beginning

This is the fourth and last of the series of blog entries on HP’s OpenNFV team experience at Sao Paulo’s Futurecom 2014, gathered by Ignacio García-Carrillo, Business Development Manager for NFV in the Americas.

Today, Thursday 16th, the activity has lowered greatly. After yesterday’s action, today the place is slow to start, and fast to end. Last discussions, last minute meetings that could not be done before, and most teams beginning their ways back home, preparing their briefings, follow up plans, gathering all the new opportunities uncovered.

And as Werner and I were discussing with the media, a sensation that something is getting started in Brazil and in all Latin America. The move for innovation in the form of NFV is definitely started, and Futurecom has been the place where this movement has been blessed in the region by all players, big and small, operator and vendor, network and IT.

The facts of the event are outstanding, please stay tuned for our factual and serious report. But in brief, NFV is launched in Latin America, let’s make it happen with OpenNFV.

Boa tarde from Sao Paulo and have a safe trip home.
