HPE honored by Frost and Sullivan for solution innovation in OSS Transformation
At Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), we believe that communications service providers (CSPs) have a unique opportunity to embark on a successful journey to become digital service providers. And an essential part of this journey is leveraging the right operations support systems (OSS) to automate and orchestrate services in these new hybrid, virtualized and cloudified environments. As a leader in the global OSS transformation industry, HPE has focused on building self-driven, zero-touch OSS for today’s and tomorrow’s CSPs and was honored to be recognized by Frost and Sullivan with their 2017 Global Stratecast Technology Innovation Award for our innovative technology solutions.
HPE received this award in October 2017 during the prestigious Frost & Sullivan Awards Ceremony in London and was recognized for our efforts in simultaneously bringing together both the legacy and next-generation operations architectures to its new OSS platform, including our HPE Service Director, HPE NFV Director and HPE vTeMIP. Frost and Sullivan recently released a new press release and video highlighting HPE’s solution innovation in OSS transformation.
In this new release, Frost and Sullivan honored HPE for its vTeMIP solution—a virtual OSS assurance platform designed to help network operators consolidate management systems and automate their operations. HPE vTeMIP was launched in May 2017 and it is a completely rebuilt and re-coded virtual OSS assurance platform designed to help network operators consolidate management systems and automate their operations.
“Legacy networks still urgently need greater efficiency gains and agility because the vast majority of services still traverse this network and will do so for several years to come. Neither the core business nor core support functions can be ignored in favor of all-new platforms; they must be part of a comprehensive solution,” said Tim McElligott, Senior Consulting Analyst at Stratecast, Frost & Sullivan. He continued to say, “HPE has taken a trusted, reliable legacy operations management tool into the virtual realm. vTeMIP is deployable as a virtual OSS assurance solution in a micro-services delivery model, and it also supports both physical and virtual network functions. vTeMIP makes the portfolio more of an end-to-end solution for fulfillment and assurance.”
Learn more about the HPE vTeMIP solution and what makes HPE a leader in OSS by reading the full Frost and Sullivan press release and watching their video in which Tim McElligott, Senior Consulting Analyst at Stratecast, Frost & Sullivan, analyzes the benefits and innovations of the HPE vTeMIP solution.
