WebRTC Paris.jpgHewlett Packard Enterprise supports CSPs in their transformation to Digital Service Providers – Meet us at the WebRTC conference and expo in Paris, Dec 16 -18

WebRTC is viewed as a strategic means for communications service providers (CSPs) to extend voice and video services beyond IMS/LTE networks and cross-over into the Internet/web application domain. At Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), we strongly believe that this technology is helping to transform to digital service providers. And we have put in place a portfolio of solutions and services to support them this transformation.

Today, our team is present at the WebRTC conference and expo in Paris to showcase how virtualization is bringing agility and cost control to WebRTC-based services:

  • Fred Huve, Industry Principal and Chief Solution Architect, HPE explains why “NFV is a key success factor for Telco to offer WebRTC-based services” on Thursday 5.00PM CET (see the agenda).

He will share service examples to quickly test and manage the dynamic and large scale end-to-end user communications services that WebRTC will drive, as well as explore the traffic model deployed over telecom operator networks to better understand virtualization benefits.

  • Alan Sherman, WebRTC Gateway Product Manager HPE, is demonstrating our leadership in this area, sharing HPE support for WebRTC through our CMS ACE Network Applications solutions and NFV infrastructure.

However, provisioning best-in-class WebRTC platforms is not enough; it’s necessary to define and implement a new set of processes, applications, organizations and skills to leverage this innovation opportunity. This is why, together with Glen Ragoonanan and Gorkem Yirgit from Analysys Mason, HPE has developed a whitepaper and a webinar [embedded link] to assess how CSPs can maximise the benefits of WebRTC and VoLTE, by transforming their existing processes, systems and organisation into NFV-enabled agile and lean service development and execution environments. We are reviewing the main challenges CSPs face in digital communication services in order to, identify the key WebRTC market opportunities for CSPs in various digital economy verticals, evaluate the main VoLTE approaches and their benefits, and outline an NFV-enabled next-generation communication service transformation roadmap for CSPs to capture WebRTC and VoLTE opportunities.
