Managing Subscriber Data in a Hyper-Connected World

For everyday mobile-oriented consumers, the digital era has proven to be pretty exciting; from Facebook and Netflix to connected cars and smartwatches – it’s been a veritable feast of rich end-user experiences. However, all these applications can drive increased mobile subscriber data management complexity – which will only continue to increase as IoT and 5G pick up more speed. SDM allows mobile network operators (MNOs), mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs) and carriers to consolidate and manage subscriber data via unified data repositories. With the introduction of more network technologies including 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi and 5G, communication services providers (CSPs) need to treat SDM as a network agnostic function to allow integration with third party network solution. A comprehensive platform to manage these user profiles and associated data can help reduce complexity and improve customer experiences, but is no easy feat to build and operate. Furthermore, locked up in all that subscriber data are real revenue opportunities just waiting to be pursued. This is why DIGITALK, a trusted vendor of carrier, consumer and mobile solutions to retail and wholesale service providers worldwide, leverages HPE’s Subscriber Data Management (SDM) solutions to extend their core network and meet the growing data demands of its subscriber base.

HPE’s SDM let DIGITALK deploy their solutions on a cloud-based infrastructure and centralize customer information in a virtual database. This allows DIGITALK to monetize network and subscriber data and efficiently pursue new revenue generating opportunities while reducing the time needed to introduce new services. The result? Better customer service with more flexible network capacity and scalability that improve DIGITALK’s market competitiveness.
