infrastructure question -- how to inspect client traffic even with Proxy in between
We are having issues with dataflow moving through the tipping point. All internal traffic is proxied prior to hitting the IPS, and it making security management a nightmare. We are currently unable to tell the source of a lot of traffic because it is all being proxied prior to arriving at the IPS. We implemented wccp redirect and integrated with it with a Websense content gateway.
Any suggestions would be stellar. I know this is not ideal design and I would love to help fix this lack of optimization. I have literally only worked a single day at this company as a network security engineer. I need help from this community so I can help my new employer.
