HP Discover 2013: Attend 650+ sessions, or pick the ones that can help you the most

HP Discover offers you a unique opportunity. It brings together the world’s latest and best IT solutions, plus the experts who know the most about them, in a single place. If you could clone yourself a hundred times over, you could explore them all, attending each one of the 650+ available sessions – no problem.  Maybe a more realistic approach is to focus on the ones that apply specifically to areas that interest you and your business the most.  With that in mind, let me offer the two suggestions below. The first is ideal if you are thinking of implementing a private cloud. Consider the second one if your datacenter is in need of a slight (or major) update.
Session title: “Spend OPEX Dollars and Get Your Own Private Cloud”
Session number:  BB1650
You may have heard the frightening tales about the potentially high Capital Expenses (CAPEX) associated with implementing a Private Cloud. Attend this session and find out how HP can pretty much eliminate your fear with our Flexible Capacity Service. The service lets you pay-as-you-grow for a private Cloud infrastructure and capacity as an Operating Expense (OPEX) instead of CAPEX.  Here’s how it works: you get access to HP servers, storage, and networking – all located at your site. You pay only for capacity that is used, subject to a minimum commitment. This is a private Cloud that:

• Offers capacity that never runs out
• Deploys additional capacity ahead of demand
• Features pay-per-use flexibility
• Is easy to buy and implement

Nothing scary about that at all. So if a private Cloud is in your future, this session should be, too.

Session title: “What it takes to run and support business-critical IT”
Session number: BB1670
Session URL:
Congratulations!  You did a great job updating your data center. But realities and requirements change …faster and more frequently than we often expect or imagine. That’s why it’s essential to have a long-term, systematic plan in place to make sure your data center will continue to meet your business demands no matter what changes take place or how fast they happen. At HP Discover 2013, you can find out exactly how HP Datacenter Consulting services can help you create and implement exactly that kind of plan. You’ll know the plan will be effective because it incorporates ITIL-based industry best practices. You can be sure it will be comprehensive because HP’s plans cover the entire IT service lifecycle. Make a note to attend this and learn exactly what it takes to deliver IT services in a reliable way in your complex, heterogeneous IT environment.

If you have interests in other areas like Big Data, Mobility, Storage, or more, contact your HP Representative. They are trained to help you pick out the sessions that will deliver the information you need on the solutions you want.
