HPE Pointnext at MWC 2018: NFV Services, HPE GreenLake and Intelligent Venues
By Nancy Lichtle, Sr. Marketing Manager
HPE Pointnext CMS Marketing
Weโre almost to Mobile World Congress 2018 where we are focusing on areas key for communications service providers (CSPs) as they undergo digital transformation in their quest to become Digital Service Providers (DSPs). Weโre excited to share key trends we are seeing across the industry, and how HPE is accelerating these trends with a focus on outcomes, flexibility and services geared directly for CSPs.
Outcomes are the driver
The focus on outcomes is expanding. Digital transformation is pushing outcome-based thinking much, much further. For telecommunications service providers, the business is the technology, and the customer experience is the IT experience. Within this environment, clearly understanding outcomes is a crucial goal for both the business and IT strategy. Integrating people and processes for IT projects is critical for achieving successful outcomes. Expanding into mobility, big data, IoT, telco cloud, containerization and more requires a transformation in order to navigate to best outcomes via a more adaptable approach.
Flexible consumption is critical
An adaptable approach is built on one key aspect: flexibility. In the past, companiesโ decisions about how they would consume IT centered on the various elements of the data center. Today there is a wide variety of consumption models with a myriad of options: public clouds, private clouds, multiple clouds, composable infrastructure, and hybrid IT.
The trend towards flexible, pay-as-you-go models is rapidly gaining momentum. HPE Flexible Capacity has long been adopted by telcos as a way to transform infrastructures and help businesses shift IT CapEx towards OpEx.
At MWC 2018, weโll be discussing HPE GreenLake which delivers the flexibility customers crave. HPE GreenLake, which builds on and incorporates HPE Flexible Capacity, was introduced at Discover in Madrid just a few months ago, and is a suite of pay-per-use solutions for customerโs top workloads. Weโve updated our industry-leading HPE Flexible Capacity offering to make it simpler, more modular, and part of the HPE GreenLake solutions. We now have the industryโs most robust family of consumption offerings spanning infrastructure and specific workload outcomes including backup, big data, edge compute, open database, and SAP HANA. HPE GreenLake delivers on both outcomes and flexibility. It was created to accelerate outcomes on your terms, providing a flexible and open IT experience.
Services geared for tomorrowโs digital service providers
Also at MWC 2018, we are focused on providing end-to-end offerings for CSPs including advisory, professional and operational consulting services. At the HPE booth, weโre happy to share more about the end-to-end NFV services we provide to support you on your NFV transformation journey. From an initial NFV Transformation Workshop to a proof of concept deployment, we can support CSPs regardless of the size of their NFV-based infrastructure or where they are on their transformation journey. Spanning from strategy and architecture, validated carrier-grade design, assessment and analysis, integration and implementation on through to NFV operational and solution support, HPE Pointnext has decades of deployment experience and expertise to help.
Come join us to discuss how you can reach the outcomes you desire with the flexibility to enable your digital transformation to a DSP.
See you in Barcelona
We live in a consumption worldโmusic, TV shows, groceries, air travel, sporting events, and much more. Why? Because consuming services delivers a better outcome faster, in our personal lives and in business. Join us at MWC 2018 at HPE booth (3E11 in MWC Hall 3). Stop by to check out what weโre doing to provide technology-driven intelligent venues that deliver an interactive and engaging digital experience. Weโd be happy to exchange thoughts on how to accelerate innovation and speed time to value at the HPE Pointnext stand.
