關於clusterwide root disk and partition

文件上都是用partition b來作為clusterwide root partition,請問有特別用意嗎,用a不可以嗎

都可以, 只要它的 "start offset" is "0". See the command "disklabel" as below:



# disklabel -r dsk3|tail -13

track-to-track seek: 0 # milliseconds

drivedata: 0



8 partitions:

a: 524288 0 AdvFS # 0 - 511

b: 3573760 524288 swap # 512 - 4001

d: 0 0 unused 0 0 # 0 - 0

e: 0 0 unused 0 0 # 0 - 0

f: 0 0 unused 0 0 # 0 - 0

g: 3706880 393216 unused 0 0 # 384 - 4003

h: 2048 4098048 cnx # 4002 - 4003



Above partition "a","c","d","e","f" will be the boot partition if you like!
