Bad default gateway - Trucluster 5.1A

Hi all,

After the installation of "PATCH KIT 6", on my trucluster 5.1A, the "DEFAULT GATEWAY" of one of the two nodes turns out wrong; this node therefore is disconnected from the net, while the other node is working well.

this happens once to the day approximately.

Any ideas?
Thanks

Just a guess, but check your gated.conf.member file for the cluster member that's going off the network.

This may be because the node detects a "interface failure" for your network, so it redirects the access thought the other node (using gated). Check the sysman event_viewer for network failures or the system console messages.

Disable network autonegotiation if you have these problems on the network interface and the network switch.

I suspect Ivan is right. Later patch kits on V5.1B have fixes so that the correct routes are restored once the connection to network interface is restored.
