Re: Clustercron not updating

Hi Paul,

could you add some more details how this effects the execution of crontab entries?

greetings,

Re: Clustercron not updating

If you want a cron entry that moves from host to host using clustercron, you need to create a file in the directory:

/var/cluster/caa/clustercron

The contents of the files there are used by clustercron.

Re: Clustercron not updating

Yep we have created the caa/clustercron and in our case we have a file mhcs.clustercronData

The problem we have is that the scripts that show in the above mhcs.clustercronData file are not reflected when on any of the nodes when doing the command "crontab -l"

Within the same directory as the mhcs.clustercronData file we have a script that calls a caa_merge which obviously merges the local with the clustercron.

Thanks for any feedback

Re: Clustercron not updating

I think that the caa_merge does not do that job.

The clustercron entries are managed by the /sbin/init.d/clustercron init script, and this script is used by the caa clustercron service.

After you create a file in the clustercron directory, you need to do:

caa_stat clustercron

In the member that holds the clustercron service run:

caa_stop clustercron
caa_start clustercron

To update the changes.
