GS60 don't join complete joining cluster failed at registering CMS services

Hi,
I have 1 ES40 & 1 GS60 and EVA4000.
I installed OS and created cluster from ES40 (clu_create) and added member (GS60) using clu_add_member too.
now when i tried to boot GS0 first time from EVA to join Cluster during the boot phase it hangs at following stage
"registering CMS service" .
when it reaches at this stage it hangs up the ES40 also.
I have a doubt here that when at alpha console level
i use wwidmgr -show reachability it shows me all four paths connected = yes no both nodes.
generally it should be yes , no, yes, no.
please advice

Re: GS60 don't join complete joining cluster failed at registering CMS services

The EVA 4000 is an active/active array, so all paths should be "yes" in this case. But you're probably the first to ever try a EVA 4000 with a GS60.

It's possible that the hang is during the cluster formation in CNX.

What kind of cluster interconnect do you use?
Are there any messages on the ES40 when the GS60 reaches this point?

Lets start brom beggining.
What is GS60 console firmware version?
What is OS and patch version?
Did you install additional patches?
What is used for cluster interconnect?
Did you try to manualy boot GS60 with genvmunix kernel?
In vino veritas, in VMS cluster

Have you booted with the right option, the first time you must boot genvmunix:

>>> boot -fi genvmunix
Por que hacerlo dificil si es posible hacerlo facil? - Why do it the hard way, when you can do it the easy way?

Dear Shahbaz,

I believe you are using ethernet as interconnect. Please check the Cross cable (if used). Also port speed, which you can check from the console. Hope fully this will solve your boot problem.
