Oracle Connection via network is slow

Hi All,

We have three node RAC cluster, running with oracle 9.2.0 - 3 databases. Recently user reported there is delay connecting to database on two nodes. DBA check and confirm below :-

For first node, User connection to Database via IPC & Network is same (with in 5 sec). Where as for rest two servers the IPC connection is 15 seconds faster than network.

This has huge impact for us. We have checked the network everything is fine & is without any error.

Can any one suggest, what could be the issue.

thanks

Hello
Please supply more informations.
What kind of cluster interconnect you have?
Cluster aliases?
Using Oracle net services or cluster aliases for fail over a failed connection to a different listener?
Any DNS related problems recently?
Does simple telnet connection to nodes take much time?

Re: Oracle Connection via network is slow

Hi There,

Here is the details.

We are using memory channel. one cluster alias csprac

No DNS issue.

Normal telnet don't have issue because the difference is on 15-20 seconds but for manufacturing it matters alot.
