Square Bracket Processes

My client was running on 5.1B - pk2 and started seeing a lot of [Oracle] processes when they use the probeapps script. This caused CAA to failover these proc's as it thought they were not running. Immediatley after that it would fail back to the original member. We installed a patch that was supposed to have fixed this and subsequently upgraded to PK3, but the problem is still there. Can anybody tell me hoow to overcome the [] issue as they are now getting quite upset with these processes failing over and back for no reason. If you check the process it IS still running.

Re: Square Bracket Processes

Thanks, the T64V51BB22-C0019500-19322-20030717.tar patch mentioned in the thread has been applied, but it did not fix the problem. We have also since upgraded to 5.1B - PK3 and the problem is still there. See the attached Word document from the customer. Any help will be appreciated.

Re: Square Bracket Processes

So please open a call within the HP support center. Such complex problems can not be solved within this forum.

But check if all software components are supported by Oracle and matches the recommended patch list, kernel settings etc. for your oracle version. Another try is to use the kernel debugger for analyzing the processes.
