Startup TruCluster failed.

I installed TruCluster with Tru64 5.1B on two nodes, srv1 and srv2, but sometimes when I boot the machine, will report some error and hang:
ISP_CAM_BUS_RESET_TMO bus0
SCSI BUS Reset Performed
ISP_CAM_BUS_RESET_TMO bus1
SCSI BUS Reset Performed
warning: cfs_perform_glroot_mount:cfs_mountroot_local: failed to mount the cluster rootfs with error=16.

After that ,press the reset button and the reboot, the machine can be booted. And the cluster runs well.

Re: Startup TruCluster failed.

Hi,

- make sure that your console variable are setup correctly (booth need to be ON):

>>> show boot_reset
>>> show scsi_reset

- your issue can also be due to a problem with devices presentation from your SAN (HSG/EVA/XP?)

check at your SAN how devices are presented

- are you sure that error = 16?

most of time with presentation issue error=6

Re: Startup TruCluster failed.

Dear VICENTï¼

I am very sure that "error=16". And the storage is RA7000, with two controler.
The boot_reset is "on" and I have't checked scsi_reset , I will check it later.
The RA7000 seems right, all lights are green ,and I haven't found any error recently under the CLI "HSZ70>" with "run fmu". All the commands like "show storageset full", "show emu","show disk full" run well without error.
But the firmware of the RA7000 controller maybe old,it is "Firmware V73Z-0, Hardware H03" ,the firmware of ES40 is the newest, V7.2 .

Thanks for you help.

Regards.
