Tru64 cluster backup

Hi,
Have you any idea about backing up a Tru64 unix cluster which consists of two members so that it contains all things that i need to build the system again if a failure occure.

note : the operating system is version 5.1B

The problem is not with the backup, it's with the restore. In particular the CNX partitions on the Quorum and Boot member disks and the hardware database are difficult to restore if anything changed in the environment (such as a replaced system disk). However all necessary information is available in normal backups (e.g. reference the clu_bdmgr command).

The two easiest ways to restore a cluster are:
1) Rebuild the cluster from scratch and restore missing parts from backup
2) Make sure that you have a backup copy of your system disks available on-line

For option 2 several people have created scripts. Rob Urban created a version that is used by many customers and can be found here:

Also, the TruCluster Admin guide is a good source for step-by-step instructions to restore various cluster file systems (including member boot disks).
