What Changes made in to member2 files?

Dear Friends,

We are facing problem in Compaq Tru64 unix 5.1b.
Hardware: ES40,MSA1000 storage device
It contains two cluster boot disk root1_domain,root2_domain.both are in RAID 0.root2_domain disk failed.
What is the difference between /cluster/members/member1 file & /cluster/members/member2 ?
Can we directly copy member1 file in member2 ?

Re: What Changes made in to member2 files?

You absolutely cannot copy files directly from member1 root to member2 root. What you need to do is clu_delete_member from member1 - deleting member2, and then re-add member2 using clu_add_member. This will re-build member2's root2_domain from scratch.

Also, remember to reboot member2 from the generic kernel the first time it uses its newly re-built boot disk.
