cluster multipathing

Hello Gentlemen.

actually i am going for connecting two node tru-cluster to EVA4100.
for high availability i am using 2 san switchs.
each Vdisk will be seen by 4 pathes.
what i have to do for multipathing?.
that tru64 can automatically detect the paths and do round robin accross the links.?
or
i have to use a multipathing software "like what in HPUX (securepath and pvlinks ...etc )".

Thanks in advance.

Multipathing is inherent in the Tru64 kernel. You don't need any additional software such as Secure Path.

Re: cluster multipathing

Hi,

As Martin says, Tru64 handles multipathing "built in" so you don't need SecurePath etc.

One thing you might need to do however, is to set up the multiple paths to your Boot LUNs - booting from SAN is common in TruCluster.

The console variable bootdef_dev (default boot device) should contain all four paths to the disk, as defined by wwidmgr.

Hope this helps,
