procedure to create SDLT device files in Tru64 5.1A Cluster

hi all,
Pls. forward me the procedure to create the SDLT device files in a cluster with 2 nodes and running 5.1A as the tru64 OS.

Assuming that is working at hardware leve, that is, you can see the device at SRM console using the show device command, it should be detected with a:

# hwmgr scan scsi

Device files usually are created too, but if not, you can use the dsfmgr -k.

If not, you may need to boot the genvmunix kernel.

>>> boot -fi genvmunix -s

Recompile the kernel, copy to / and reboot. This is necessary if you added a SCSI adapter to attach the device.

Which SDLT drive you have?
If it is SDLT320 you will have to edit ddr.dbase file and recompile.
In vino veritas, in VMS cluster

Attached is what the ddr.dbase entries look like for all three types of SDLT drives.
