Re: 9.01 applet problem faced in different sites

Hi

Does it happen after upgrade ?

Does it happen from a specific client machine or from all the machines ?

Did they tried to clean the java client temporary internet files ? (control panel->java)

Any errors under the UCMDB server log folder (C:\hp\UCMDB\UCMDBServer\runtime\lo
g)

Hi Amit?

Does it happen after upgrade?
In one customer it's after upgrade, but in the other it's a new install.

Does it happen from a specific client machine or from all the machines?
From the specific ones.

Did they tried to clean the java client temporary internet files ? (control panel->java)
Ok, We'll try it.

Any errors under the UCMDB server log folder (C:\hp\UCMDB\UCMDBServer\runtime\lo
g)
You mean errors under error.log?

Re: 9.01 applet problem faced in different sites

Hi,

yes, see this section from the UCMDB admin help, page 139:

HP Universal CMDB login fails
due to unexpected errors.
Solution 1: Select Start > Programs > HP
UCMDB > HP Universal CMDB Server Status
and ensure that the service is running.
Solution 2: Look for errors in the following
log files:
â ¤ C:\hp\UCMDB\UCMDBServer\runtime\lo
g\error.log
â ¤ C:\hp\UCMDB\UCMDBServer\runtime\lo
g\ui-server.log
If you find errors that are unfamiliar to you,
contact HP Software Support.

Re: 9.01 applet problem faced in different sites

I was wondering if any one found a resolution to this happening? I first experienced it on a client machine with an older version of Java was installed. I upgraded Java, cleared the Java cache, and it worked. After it working initially I'm back at square one with this error. Nothing has changed with our UCMDB 9.0 configuration.
