HP UCMDB how to get a reort of an installed software

Hello,

I am new to HP UCMDB, and I need to get a report of all discovered machines with Java installed and its version.

So how can I do that?

thanks a lot,

Mariam

Re: HP UCMDB how to get a reort of an installed software

we can create from modelling studio.

Modelling-->Modelling Studio--> New--> select the view

we can write a query to fetch the data for " Java" as installed software.

sample output is attached.

Thanks for that,

is there a guide where to write such query, or if there are existing ones I can modify.

I have tried using the Modeling section and it showed no CIs.

Thank you so much for that.

I have done that, but I still get no results.

Do you have any idea why?

Re: HP UCMDB how to get a reort of an installed software

Open Modeling Studio

Create New Pattern View

Drop InfrastructureElement/Node into modeling pane,

Drop NodeElement/InstalledSoftware into modeling pane,

Click Node,

Control click on the InstalledSoftware object,

(both objects are now selected)

Right click on either the Node or the InstalledSoftware object, select Add Relationship, select "Composition"

Click the Calculator to see if your model works.

You should now see numbers between brackets under both objects.

Click Report, using the arrows move Node to the top, move InstalledSoftware to the right, to group it below Node.

Press the Magnifying glass to see a preliminary report.
