How can I change “Candidate For Deletion Time"

[ Edited ]

Hi All,

If I understand it correctly
"Candidate For Deletion Time" + "Actual Deletion Period" = "Actual Delete Time".
How can I change "Candidate For Deletion Time"? From "CI Lifecycle report", it seems that default value is 0.

uCMDB 8.04

Please advice

Thanks,
Michael

Hi Michael:

Its on the CI type, so you changed for each CI type with the CI type manager.

Re: How can I change “Candidate For Deletion Time"

Hi Amit,

One more question, we need to create the following TQL: Extract all Hosts which are not candidate for deletion. It means I need all hosts where Current Date â Last Access Time > Candidate For Deletion Time. How can I create such TQL? Do I need an enrichment for this?

thanks,
Michael

Re: How can I change “Candidate For Deletion Time"

Hi Michael,

Enrichment rule is for "doing something" rather than "look for something", so you need to use Query manager, with a node condition.

For the condition: to my knowledge, you cannot compare 2 attributes as part of condition in a TQL, but you can use a query on the boolean attribute "Is candidate for deletion" of the CI

In general, comparison of attributes is not possible. But as said by an HP engineer, there is a verified approach for comparing two similar attributes.

I will revert if I can find the complete procedure for it.

Re: How can I change “Candidate For Deletion Time"

Hi Micheal,

You can make use of the attribute "Is Cadidate for Deletion".

As a part of the TQL you requested can be achieved. Follow the steps

1. In the View or Report, drag and drop two Host CI.

2. Now create a relationship between these to Hosts of type Virtual Join.

3. Hostkey attribute of Host1 = Hostkey attribute of Host2. (to make sure that we are selection same CI).

4. Last Access time attribute of Host1 > Candidate for deletion time of Host2.

You will get the list.
