Install UD Agent

Hi Experts,

I need to install an UD Agent using manualy package.

This is related to UCMDB 10.01 cup 6

But I need to know the pre-requisites to perform this action, for exmaple:

1 - Full Administration permissions

2 - The RCP services initiate , (I am not sure if its required, please help)

3 -  Windows firewall inactive or not ? (windows 7, xp)

Please if anything of you know another task please go ahead.

Thank you for your support,

cheers,

Juan

Re: Install UD Agent

Hi expert,

As I can know if the agent "UD" is reported to the server?

I installed the agent using "hp_man_UCMDB_10.01_DataFlow_Mgmt_pdf" page 95, but I can not see in the UCMDB server the data of pc where the agent is instaled.

Please, I need a document to dumb to tell me how to use my UD agents UCMDB

Re: Install UD Agent

[ Edited ]

Page 97 of attached document in my previous post states following:

When you activate the Infrastructure activity, the Data Flow Probe connects to the UD Agent

installed on the remote machine.

To verify that the Data Flow Probe is able to communicate with the remote UD Agent, go to

Discovery Control Panel > Activity Discovery Status > Progress tab

and make sure that

a UDA CI instance was discovered. For more information, see

"Zone-Based Discovery View"

on page 266

When you'll establish connection for the first time, UD Agent CI will be created and connected to the host representing the destination.

If you'd like to run separate jobs, I'd suggest running "Range IPs by ICMP" to bring IPs and then "Host Connection by Shell" to get connection to deployed agents. There is a parameter that need to be changed - udaConnectionOrder to first. Check attached screenshot...

Hope this helps.

Re: Install UD Agent

Hi Dmitry,

I have installed windows (x86) agent on the remote server manully. I gave probe server IP in "primary call home"

IP is discovered via ICMP ping sweep (it has the probe name in "IP Probe Name" attribute) . Host connection by Shell  - I have selected "UDA connection oder" to first.  But I get warning message as below

<< Progress message, Severity: Warning>>
UDA: No agent on the remote machine.

No CIs are created by host connection by shell job

Attached communication log.

are we missing anything. Can you please advise?
