Separate CIs from DDM by company

[ Edited ]

We need to separate the CIs based on company. How can I do that? what do I need to do on DDM to achieve that? maybe set all the CIs from a set of probes write on the "company" attributes of all the CIs the company name?

Can you give me any thoughts please?

Regards,
Stuart

Re: Separate CIs from DDM by company

Hi Stuart,

You could create some uCMDB domain (where you set the IP ranges) per customer and this domain will be related to the IP and the Network CIs. Therefore in all views will have to refer to them in order to separate them.

However, if you really want that the data are private for each customer, I would advice to have one uCMDB per customer.

Does this help?

Re: Separate CIs from DDM by company

Hi Olivier thanks for your answer. The creating a new domain (and I suppose install another probe) option sounds interesting, but how will those CIs be separated on the views?

Stuart
