UCMDB DDMA probe

[ Edited ]

Hi All,

I would like to know the Application discovery probe speaks on which port to collect the applications information.

Please refer any best practiced documents for UCMDB and DDMA installation.

Regards,
Kalyan.

Re: UCMDB DDMA probe

To collect info from remote devices DDM probe uses different protocols - NTCMD, SSH, WMI, SNMP etc. All these and many other protocols in use can be configured to work on different ports. So your question doesn't have an answer.

Re: UCMDB DDMA probe

Thanks for the reply.

One more question. Can DDMi replaced by DDMA?
And any inputs of DDMi getting integrated to UCMDB? As per the documents they can be integrated but is it really good idea to integrated DDMi with UCMDB?

Kalyan.

Re: UCMDB DDMA probe

No, DDMI cannot be replaced by DDMA. DDMI and DDMA are 2 totally different products designed for different purposes.

DDMI-UCMDB integration is built to fulfill a specific integration use case clearly indicated in the docs. If this is what you want to achieve then the integration will be a good idea.

Re: UCMDB DDMA probe

Hi ,

you will find a file IN UCMDB called portNumberToPortName.xml , this already has all of the ports you required.

Thanks
