Clean shutdown of VCX servers
We're doing some system maintenance work that will take power away from our primary and secondary VCX servers. I was wondering what is the way to do a clean shutdown of these servers.
Thanks

Re: Clean shutdown of VCX servers
Depends on the version - later releases have this option in the GUI
System Administration
System Maintenance
Reboot/Shutdown
or you can just use the Linux command shutdown -h now

Start with the Primary or Secondary first?

Re: Clean shutdown of VCX servers
We're running v7.1.16c.
If running the standard linux shutdown command is fine, then i'm all good.
As rsardena posted as well, any specific order?

Re: Clean shutdown of VCX servers
I dug through my notes and found that the secondary should be restarted first due to registrations.

Re: Clean shutdown of VCX servers
Firt shutdown the server's
Both at the same time or first secondary and then the primary, you can shutdown the servers with the GUI tool of VCX system Administrator or via CLI with user root and the command shutdown -h now
it's like the halt command so you can safe power off the server.
For restart first power on the primary server, wait some minutes 10 or 15 minutes check the registered phone on the callp directory with the Remotecli.
And last power on the secondary server, and check the replication it should be NORMAL
