IPM files in synch?

How can I tell if the files in my primary and secondary IP Messaging servers are synchronized? I know the procedure to synchronize the IP Messaging databases, but not the files.

I'd really appreciate any help you can offer.

Re: IPM files in synch?

Here's the steps. Logon to your SSH client (putty) as app. Then follow these steps.

1. From command line cd to the gen directory:

cd /usr/app/app/gen

2. Run diffmsg to check the files that may be out of synch:

./diffmsg

Do this on primary & secondary. This will show what files are off between the two servers.

3. If any files are off (greater than 0), run diff2rcp. You'll want to do this on primary & secondary:

./diff2rcp

This will create a script file that will resynch the files between the two boxes.

4. To run the script, change to app.dir directory

cd /usr/app/app.dir

5. Run the script to copy messages to primary from secondary or secondary from primary. Do on both primary and secondary to ensure proper synch of files.

./diffmsg.rcp

Hope this helps! :)
